What currency is accepted in Aruba?
While the U.S. dollars are widely accepted in Aruba, the currency of Aruba is the Aruban florin. The florin fluctuates with the dollar on the world market. Banks may exchange other foreign currency. Banking hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Most bank branches remain open during lunch. The Aruba Bank branch at the airport is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except on official holidays. Travelers with ATM cards bearing the CIRRUS or Plus System network logos can withdraw cash in Aruban florins. Home bank accounts will be debited in dollars at a favorable exchange rate, and a service charge will apply. Before departing for Aruba, it's important to verify whether your PIN number will work in Aruba by calling 1-800-4-CIRRUS

Do I need to have a passport to travel to Aruba?
Entry Requirements & Customs Regulations: 
Implemented on January 23, 2007, ALL PERSONS traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean region are required to present a passport to re-enter the United States.

Airport border control as you enter Aruba
International airports are busy places and large numbers of travelers pass through them every day. For your security and that of you fellow passengers it is vitally important that proper checks and control be carried out.

Security Checks
At check-in and boarding, specially trained personnel may check your baggage. At the same time the name on your passport will be compared (often b other personnel) with the name on your ticket and/or boarding pass. Your passport will also be checked to see if it is valid.

Identity checks/passport control
These are conducted by the appropriate authorities. At Beatrix Airport, this is the Immigrant Service.

Examination of hand baggage and hold baggage
Baggage examinations are conducted by Customs. After being cleared by the Immigrant Service officials, your baggage may be subject to Customs examination. (“Hold baggage”” is baggage carried in the hold of the aircraft, as opposed to hand, or “carry-on” baggage)

Note: As part of the fight against crime (e.g. drug trafficking) random checks are carried out by a number of official agencies. at Reina Beatrix Airport, these are Customs, Immigration service and the Police. Any person conducting such a check (whether wearing a uniform or not) must provide immediate proof of appropriate identity on request.

Important information for air travellers

If you are traveling to or from a country or countries outside Aruba your baggage will have to pass through Customs and may be subjected to Customs examination.

Each passenger from the age of 16 and older, have the right to bring goods with a value up to 400 florins duty free. (1 $=1.75 florin)

Passengers have the right to:
a. Cigarettes (or)
Cigars (or)
Cigars (with a weight less than 3 grams) (or)
Tobacco

B. Spirits (or)
Wine (or)
Beer

If you have more than these mentioned amounts, you may have to pay the necessary duty on these goods.

What if I need medical assistance while in Aruba?
For medical assistance ALL hotels have a doctor on call 24 hours a day (check with the front desk). The Dr. Horacio Oduber Hospital located across from Punta Brabu Beach has a 24 hour emergency room. It is just a few minutes from the hotel sector. Tel. 011-297-874300 Drug stores cannot fill a prescription from a doctor not residing on the island but will advise how to obtain one if necessary. One drug store in each district is open for 24 hours on a rotating basis for emergencies.

How do I gain admission to the Comedy and Music concerts?
Everyone MUST have a General Admission ticket. The Comedy Concert is General Admission (GA) with seating. The Music Concerts are GA with Standing Room Only, unless you purchase a Gold or Platinum upgrade.

What does a basic Concert Ticket allow me?
The basic tickets gain you entry into the venue, and are all General Admission. At the Comedy Show, there will be first come, first served seating. At the Music Concerts, the General Admission is Standing Room Only. You can buy ticket upgrades for the Music Concerts (on top of the price of the General Admission tickets) for the Gold Access Area or the Platinum Tables, each of which is described in detail on the ticketing website.

Is there seating in the Gold Access Area?
There is limited, open seating in the Gold Access area, which covers about 60% of the capacity sold for that area. This seating in the Gold Access area is on a first come first served basis. The extra added benefit is that you get to stand right in front of the stage and there is a bar within the area so you won’t have to go to the concessions in the back of the arena to get a drink.

Is there seating for the Comedy Concerts?
Yes, for the Comedy Concerts, all entries are General Admission and there is seating on a first come first served basis.

What if I want seating for the Music Concerts?
For the Music Concerts, we basically have two add-on upgrade options versus our standard General Admission (Standing Room Only, i.e. no seats) ticket that everyone needs to purchase in order to come into the venue:

1) The first is an upgrade to the Gold Access Area, where there is a limited amount of seating (approx. 60% of capacity) and access to the closest standing room to the stage, and a dedicated no host bar. So, if you want to be sure to get a seat in the Gold Access Area, you must be among the first to arrive for that area.

2) The second upgrade is to the Platinum Seating Area, where you are given a reserved seat at a table on a raised platform with excellent sight lines and no host bar table service. The only way you can get a guaranteed reserved seat is by buying a ticket upgrade for a seat at one of the Platinum Tables.

What time do the doors open at the Concerts?
The doors open at 6PM for all Concerts.

Am I allowed to bring a camera or video recorder to the concert performances?
No cameras or tape/video recorders permitted.

Is there seating for the handicapped and/or elderly inside of the concert venues?
Lower bleacher seating, which is located at the back of the venue, is reserved for the handicapped and elderly. There is also wheelchair accessibility in bleacher area.

What is prohibited from being brought inside of the concert venues?
No lawn/beach chairs and no umbrellas, no outside beverages of any kind or food, no cans or bottles, no weapons/firearms are allowed inside of the concert venues. Please note that this is strictly enforced.

Do I need to buy bottled water to drink in Aruba?
There is no need to buy bottled water in Aruba, the island's tap water is pure and refreshing.

Do I need to bring a power cord adapter when I travel to Aruba?
Voltage standards are the same as in the United States and Canada. The TV standard is NTSC so your home video camera will also play back on the hotel's TV sets or large screen projectors.

If you purchased your tickets online, you have an E-Ticket/Print at Home ticket.

Concert Tickets:
Please use the link provided in your emailed ticket confirmation to PRINT OUT* your tickets before coming to the venue. The FRI/SAT/SUN tickets will be scanned at the gate upon entry into the venue. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO TO WILL CALL IF YOU JUST HAVE GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS. (*NOTE: Printed tickets are preferred, but we can read the ticket off of your phone)

Express Party Pass/Gold Access/ Platinum Tables:
IF YOU HAVE AN E-TICKET/PRINT AT HOME TICKET FOR EXPRESS PARTY PASSES, GOLD ACCESS AREA OR PLATINUM TABLE SEATS, IT MUST BE SCANNED AT WILL CALL IN EXCHANGE FOR YOUR PHYSICAL WRISTBANDS OR PASSES.

SBMF 2019 WILL CALL INFO:

All Will Call ticket orders can be picked up at the respective Venue on the day of the show. The box office opens two hours before the start of the concert shows.

Also, we will have the ticket Will Call available near the entrance of each nightclub party (Wed-Sat) from 9:30 PM to Midnight. Also, as a courtesy, we will also have a Will Call desk at the Nos Clubhuis (next to the MooMba Beach Party above Hadicurari Restaurant in Palm Beach) on Thursday & Friday, from 11 AM to 2 PM.

FYI, you can pick up all orders under your name at any of the given times. We will need to see your PRINTED TICKET* with a valid ID and confirmation order number for pickup.

1. All rates must be in Aruban florins (Afl) as well as in US dollars (US$); Exchange rate Afl 1.80 to US$ 1.00

2. Minimum fare is Afl 12.60/US$ 7.00. This priceless in in US Dollars (US$);

3. Prices are based on distance with a maximum capacity of five passengers per taxi;

4. Sundays, official holiday and or regular days starting from 11:00PM til 7:00AM there will be as surcharge of Afl 5.40/US$ 3.00 to the regular fares;

5. Each passenger from and to the Airport is allowed on piece of luggage and a back/hand pack-bag. For each additional piece of luggage there will be an additional charge of Afl 3.60/US$ 2.00 per piece. Attache cases, laptop cases, carry on’s and any type e of equipment/aid that is necessary for the passenger’s mobilization can not be charged for;

6.Use of car trunk, not going to or coming from the Airport will be additional charge of Afl 3.60/US$ 2.00, except when luggage is transported between hotels. In this case the charge of Afl 3.60/US$ 2.00 per piece of luggage is valid;

7. Waiting time is Afl 7.20/US$ 4.00 per 5 minutes;

8. In case of damage due too wet clothing, sharp objects or otherwise to the cars interior, there will be an additional damage charge of Afl 180.00/US$ 100.00 per incident;

9. Taxis can be hired at an hourly rate of Afl 90.00/US$ 50.00 per hour;

10. The driver -within reason- is not responsible for the lost items in his/her car. Found objects will be reported and turned over to the Department of Public Transportation or the nearest police station;

11. The taxi-driver is not allowed to ask other fares than these approved by the government;

12. The driver is not allowed to transport more than five (5) passengers in a taxi. A minor under the age of two (2) years is not considered as a passenger;

13. If a passenger being the first on to ask to be transported to a location refuses, the driver is not allowed to take more persons into his taxi. If more passengers, not being part of the same group, are transported to the same destination, then the fare has to be divided with the group transported to the destination;

14. The tariffs must be placed insight for the passengers in the taxi.
